This brief commentary was certainly nothing like the major Western media portrayal of contemporary Iran. Imagine, an informed, articulate female commentator, with excellent English and attractive silk hijab, posing policy questions to a known Western scholar. I believe you are correct that for all of Trump's bellicosity, the voter's mandate for peace will move him in that direction. Thanks for this!
We all have to hope that Trump rises to meet the perilous and challenging times facing us. To do this he must out-maneuver and derail the delusional and dangerous warmongering of the neocon/AIPAC-dominated foreign policy establishment in Washington, DC. No small order, but perhaps these difficult times will bring out the leader we need, as they did with Washington, Lincoln and FDR. I believe this hope is a big part of the popular mandate indicated by his election. I hope it is not misplaced.
