Another interesting post. Thank you. You occasionally write of general topics about Russia, not specific to bubbling events. Some travel experiences, and glimpses of life in Russia which I enjoy. Along that line you mention some sociological context for the Russian far east, and changing demographics. It would be interesting (and perhaps for other readers as well) to hear more of your observations.

Did I misread or just misunderstand? You commented that it was a mistake for Ritter and Johnson to give thumbs up and why so would become evident from your comments. Perhaps I’m being dull, but I read twice, and was left to infer the evidence of their mistake. Not that knowing why you think it is crucial, but It certainly isn’t explicit.

I don't know who's more intelligent, Gilbert - you or Putin.

I often wonder what goes on behind the scenes for big events like this. Does Tucker have a team, a staff of advisors and how big is it, or did he work almost alone. Did they consult with you beforehand, and if not why the hell not?

Yes, "who is the intended audience?" Just who is it one expects or wans to be listening. Lot to think about, sir.

I know Putin and such world leaders have human resources. Maybe he should have a larger, more professional communications office to better communicate their point of view.
