Thank you for pointing out this interview, because these days anything that happens on CNN is like that tree falling in an empty forest: most of us will never hear about it.

Ryabkov did not say anything which would be a surprise to anyone who has been paying attention. Well, there was one surprise -- his answer to the last question about Europe's bloody history of changing borders, which could perhaps have been rephrased as "Can't we all get along?"

It was surprising that Ryabkov did not make the point that the negotiated Minsk Agreements were supposed to set up a system in the Ukraine analogous to the situation of French-speaking Quebec in English-speaking Canada -- namely a significant degree of autonomy for the Donbas within the existing borders of the Ukraine, and respect for Russian language, culture, & religion throughout the Ukraine. But the Europeans and Kiev authorities conspired to undermine those peaceful agreements which they signed. And now we have war, with the serious risk of the Ukraine becoming one of those damn fool things in the Balkans.

Restraint is over for Russia! I cannot express the disappointment towards the recent clusterf of attempted regime changes all over the world, orc-estrated by Uncle Shmuel. Trump is not anyone to trust.

This action is beyond a "red line". Also, the elephant in the conversation is the actions of China. They will have to act vis a vis Persian Gulf States, as most of their oil is from there. Are they going to allow carnage of their investments there, which will have an extreme effect on their economy?

Iran, Houthi/Yemen, Lebanon... the Palestinians! are left in the balance because... why? Because Jews/Zionists are the protagonists?

I have lost my patience in global affairs, but thank you immensely in bringing up the not so popular important discussions. I will keep following it all with a very heavy heart.
