In my essay on the death of Alexei Navalny published two days ago, I remarked at the end that once my live on air interview with TRT World several hours previous was put up on the internet I would provide the link. Regrettably, it now appears that editors at the Turkish broadcaster overruled the journalists who took the interview. The taped version never reached the internet. This is sad, but understandable given my direct accusations on air that ‘the Brits did it.’ The courtesies of NATO membership obviously won out over dissemination of a painful truth. So be it.
Where does the "billion hits" on the Tucker interview come from? The Twitter/X posting is topping out just north of 200 million and my guess is far fewer viewers go to Tucker's own site tuckercarlson.com. Add the YouTube and Rumble postings and a couple hundred shorter postings of analysis and condemnation and I would guess the number to be closer to a - very respectable - quarter billion.
Isn't that a VERY insignificant post and ignores the information in it. Strange that you would only notice that and stranger still that others would like it.

The first part of Mr Doctorow's post was all about the numbers and it does matter whether it's a quarter billion, one billion, or a hundred billion. Much of the remainder of the posting was dog bites man: the British hate Russians.
