Vladimir Zelensky was the featured guest at the NATO Summit in Ankara that closed yesterday. Enhanced relations between NATO and Ukraine, most particularly between the USA and Ukraine, were almost the only dry residue from the event. The Financial Times, for example, devotes most of its front page coverage to the friendly remarks on Zelensky coming from Donald Trump, who is said to now have a positive appreciation of what Kiev is achieving in the war. Thus, it is believed that Kiev can pressure the Kremlin into negotiations on terms more favorable to itself than hitherto.
