‘Sixty Minutes’ strikes a note of optimism

As I have observed several times in the past couple of weeks, sensationalism is the order of the day in all too many alternative media outlets dealing with the Russia-Ukraine war. They peddle hair-raising anxiety. We hear daily that Donald Trump is unhinged, that he is suffering from early dementia and that his bizarre decisions on national security, such as the dispatch of two nuclear -armed submarines to posts close to the Russian theater, spell escalation that will take us straight to WWIII and annihilation.
