I agree with you completely.

Based on his first term, Trump could claim to be a man of peace. He was the only president that started no new wars since at least Reagan. Even Glenn Greenwald pointed that out several times. But he's lost his humanity in the 4 years he was out of office. Is it revenge for having the 2020 election stolen by the democrats due to their Covid scam? Could it be that he was driven crazy when the democrats tried to put him in jail for life on trumped-up charges? Could it just be growing senility due to old age? In any case, there is something terribly wrong with a system in which it is near impossible to remove a failing leader who is committing obvious war crimes and driving the world into WWIII. The 25th Amendment, which should have already been invoked, has no teeth and doesn't work. And Impeachment won't work either until after the Repubs lose their majority in November's elections, assuming we even have them.

I agree with you completely Gilbert. As a person who was unfortunate to have married a narcissist then I can confirm that Donald Trump does exhibit many narcsissistic traits.

I agree that what we are witnessing is not politics but the spread of evil throughout the world especially amongst world leaders. Trump has allowed himself by choice or by coercion to be surrounded by evil people and the world is suffering because of it .

Satan is a very powerful adversary and throughout our human history when we are in very dark times and it looks like evil has triumphed the goodness and the light always shines through, it is just so sad that so many good and innocent men, women and children have to have their mortal lives sacrificed for the pleasure of the evil ones.

The evil ones may take my life but they will never be able to take my faith.

I don't believe I am required to accept the unhelpful and sentimental religious concept of "good" vs. "evil" in order to understand and condemn Trump's actions concerning Iran. They are deranged, psychotic, cruel, immoral and terrible. They are also not far in effect from the essential and underlying actions produced by the shameful workings of American imperial foreign policy over both my lifetime and Trump's.

Excellent and exactly the thought process we all need to adopt. It is staring us in the face, but rather than act as we should, we suppress the revulsion and also the need to actively and righteously fight the evil, and we instead pretend it is not there. So, the evil grows and consumes more goodness every day. Thank you, Professor, for this very necessary and righteous indictment and call to action.

Please seek help, Dr. Doctorow. You are in real danger of coming unhinged. You are not the person whose books we have read and whose internet observations we have followed for a long time.

Actually you are the person whose books we have read and whose internet observations we have followed for a long time, but you are different in that you have the humility to be able to change your point of view when you realise you have been decieved and can express a new point of view accordingly

Does not the Trump administration delight in showing us each day how unhinged, and "certifiably INSANE" they are? I suppose they want everyone to be scared of them and kowtow to them.

They have done HUGE damage to the 🇺🇸, hardly any former allies trust them anymore. While the administration has neglected the interests of more than 300M Americans!!!

And now it seems they have precipitated the desire of many countries around the world to acquire Nuclear weapons (just as 🇮🇱 has), as being the only deterrent to invasion by the 🇺🇸.

Who was so stupid to formulate this 🇺🇸 strategy? It clearly has not worked.
